Kevin's friends need hats

Jon wanted the Snow Falling Hat I made for Kevin but in a solid color. Chris wanted a beanie in burgundy. He works at Apple and is bribed me with his employee discount for David's birthday iPod. Jarod wanted a brown beanie and is bribing me with stick-shift driving lessons for Justin. Justin has his permit and is turning into a great driver but really wants to learn how to drive a manual transmission. We only have automatics but Jarod has a stick shift car and he offered. I think Chris and Jarod both deserve beanies. Don't tell them but I would have made them for them without the bribes. :-)

Snow Falling Hat

This was a test knit that I really enjoyed. I'm not very good at colorwork but I thought this hat was so pretty I requested to be a tester. You can find the pattern here as soon as she releases it.

Teddy Bear

I'm not even sure how I found out about this bear or this knitter but I loved his bear and his story. Mine doesn't exactly look like a bear but I'm quite happy with my new friend.

How did I forget to blog these?

It's winter and 85 degrees outside. I must think that if I keep knitting mittens, it will get cold.

These were knitted in November. I was looking for a basic mitten pattern and my friend Mona was just finishing up her pattern. Was that timing or what?

Winter, please come out of hiding!!! I have four new pairs of mittens just waiting to be worn.

Edgar the Monster

Edgar is supposed to be a monster but I think he looks somewhat like a kitty. Test knitting is way fun!

I'm having quite a good time test knitting. This crow is my latest finished object.

Stay tuned for Edgar - more test knitting - in a day or two. :-)

Curly Scarf

This is the January Mystery. After I took the picture I wondered if I was showing off the scarf or the oranges. I like them both.

Test Knitting

There is a test knitting group on Ravelry and I signed up to test these mittens. After a few false starts I ended up with mittens I absolutely love.

They were knitted with Malabrigo Rios. I didn't know Malabrigo had a superwash wool until the lady at the LYS showed it to me. What a fun surprise!! I haven't come across a bad Malabrigo yet.

Honoré Cowl/Hat

I saw this hat/cowl pattern in Ravelry and immediately started knitting it. The yarn was dyed, spun, and gifted to me from my wonderful friend Wilma.

Fast Christmas Knitting

These are for a friend I'm having lunch with tomorrow. I'd forgotten how quickly dishcloths knit up.

Pei

Brooklyn Tweed aka Jared Flood came out with a new yarn called Loft that had wonderful reviews. He also came out with this one skein pattern for Loft's use. One skein, new yarn, Jared Flood, how could I go wrong. I bought the color called meteorite and the pattern. Kathy and I had our own private KAL and off we went.

Introducing my Pei.

November Mysteries

I participated in two out of the five November mysteries. The group requested something for a man so we made the Ear Flap Hat. It went to my son but for now doesn't the vase look lovely wearing it.

My second was a soap sack. It immediately went into the shower with my hubby.

Flip Top Mittens

Flip top mittens - Dream In Color yarn - life is good.

October Mysteries

I love this hat!! The pattern was fun and fast.

Link

This is the second October Mystery that I did. My favorite part of this was being able to play with colors. There was nothing boring about this project.

Snowmen

A friend of mine sent me this link and I wanted to make a few. Here are my snowmen. We're waiting for winter!
