A scarf for me, an ornament for Dona, and another ornament for Wilma.  It's finally getting a bit cooler here......  YAY!!!

Happy Birthday Kathy!!

This pattern was one of the Mysteries for April.  I am not a crocheter but can do a single and double crochet if necessary.  Kathy loved this mystery and said that if she crocheted she'd make it for herself.  I knew I had seven months to get it done so I started slowly.  It took me a couple of months between other projects but I got it finished.  I was quite proud of myself and hated waiting five months to send it to her.  The only thing that saved me was that I didn't block it until the last minute.

It was a fun thing to crochet and I felt quite accomplished when it was finished.

October Mystery

I've had these mittens in my queue for as long as they've been in Ravelry.  One of the ladies in our Mystery Group wanted to moderate these for the month of October.  How convenient was that for me!!

Knitting along

As soon as I saw this shawl I had to knit it.   There's just something about contrasting colors that appeal to me.

Mitts for Robin

Every year I give Robin something knitted.   She's my go-to person for so much as work and I always want her to know how much I appreciate her.   This year I decided she needed fingerless mitts because she gets very cold in her office.   Let's hope she can type with them.

I used the basic pattern from the fold down mitts and modified it a bit.

WIP Wednesday

It's been quite a while since I did a WIP Wednesday post.  Ordinarily I am a monogomous knitter but this week I have three projects going and am considering casting on one more, maybe two.

These two are the Djoser Shawl and another pair of Fingerless Mitts.

More fingerless mitts

Dona saw the fingerless mitts I made for myself and really liked them but couldn't decide whether or not she wanted a pair.  She's getting these for Christmas whether she wants them or not.  Sarah, don't tell her! 

Our bunny!

We found this bunny on our street with a rope around her neck in June 2005.  We tried to find her home but no one claimed her so we kept her.   We took her to the vet and they said she was somewhere around 2 years old.  At  9 years old she's still loving our back yard.

My friend Mona made this yarn for me quite awhile ago.  I waited until I found the perfect pattern for it.  I love these!!!

I test knitted this for Heather.  I liked it so much that I signed up to test knit her matching long cowl.  Stay tuned, I hope to have the cowl finished this weekend.

Cowl for Kathy M

I'm safe, Kathy M doesn't read my blog (as opposed to Kathy R who does and is a knitting/reading buddy) so I know it's safe to post her Christmas gift on here.  Bulky yarn is not my favorite and super bulky even less so but I am quite pleased with this.  It was the Mystery's group KAL for August.

Color Affection

I was immediately drawn to this pattern when I saw it.  Kathy felt the same way.  We both had some projects we wanted to get out of the way so we set a start date of July 1 for our own KAL.  It really is funner knitting along with someone. 

Mine is finished but Kathy's vacation got in the way of hers - lucky girl.

I love how it turned out.

Owl Cup Cozy

How cute is this!!  I've seen lots of owl patterns all over Ravelry but I never made any.  This was fun and quick.  I love fun and quick.

50 Shades of Grey

Every year I knit a scarf for Marlene. Usually she chooses the color but this year my friend Kathy suggested I knit her something in “50 Shades of Grey.” Kathy has a gift for choosing themes and I was very impressed with the idea since Kathy, Marlene, and I, along with millions of others have read The Grey series.

Marlene will be out visiting from Utah in a couple of weeks and I'll gift it to her then.

I'm sure there aren't 50 shades of Grey but who's going to count them.  

Still obsessing......... 26 and counting

It's 80+ degrees and my son wants a beanie?????

I guess it's a fashion statement.

He also wanted a keychain.  I'd almost forgotten how to make these.  Thanks youtube.

Waiting for Winter

I finished my Mordor a few weeks ago and I love how it turned out.  I can't wait for winter to wear this.
